OmertàKrp is a closed, literate, 21+ MeWe-based directory that explores heavy, dark, and triggering themes revolving around criminal activity.
In the aftermath of economic and civil unrest, four crime factions divide South Korea in boundaries written in blood. The only city recognized as neutral territory sits at the center of the country. "The Sinclave" promises sanctuary from the crime surrounding it, an eye in the storm of the lawless depravity created by the four factions.

points
All muses in OmertàKrp will accumulate two types of points: skill points and "crowns" (abbreviated to "cr"). Skill points measure the strength of an individual muse and overall faction. Crowns are used to obtain various in-game opportunities, perks, and general items for your muse to interact with. For what is purchasable with crowns, please visit The Black Market.A sheet containing the crown information for all members and factions is available. While the admins will monitor and update member and faction crowns, muns are welcome to create their own trackers. Members are required to notate their skill distribution points somewhere on their profile. If you find any discrepancies or have questions surrounding your muse's or faction's skill points or crowns, let us know!
crowns
Muses begin with a different amount of crowns depending on position.
Faction heads, the resistance leader, and unit generals will start with 3,000 crowns.
Gang leaders and resistance muses will start with 2,000 crowns.
Other members will start with 1,000 crowns. Each piece of activity is worth 10 crowns. Muns are required to submit 3 pieces of activity per activity check; up to 5 pieces of eligible activity (starters, thread replies, self-paras, etc.) may be submitted during the activity period. It is possible to gain up to 50 crowns each activity cycle. During events and special writing opportunities, one may earn additional crowns.
Crowns are accumulated once you have submitted your muse’s activity. The activity check cycle ends on the first and third Sunday of the month. After filling out the activity check Google Form, the admins will confirm your muse’s passing of the activity check by updating their crowns via a private message.
If you wish to submit your muse’s activity before the deadline to receive their crowns earlier, you may. It is only possible to submit your muse’s activity once per cycle. If you continue writing after sending in your muse’s activity, you cannot submit that work for the next activity check. Only writing done within the activity period is eligible.
When purchasing an item from The Black Market, the used crowns will be put into a "bank" for your muse's faction. The faction bank, along with the muses’ skill points, is what is used to determine the faction's strength and their influence in the roleplay. The more your faction earns, the more power they will obtain. Factions can earn crowns through the faction members’ spending.
skill points
Every muse, gang, and faction will measure their strength and capabilities based on a skill point tree. These skill points are meant to enhance different abilities and specialties for variety and realism within the storyline. Each skill point category is capped at 10 points for muses and 20 for factions and gangs, but this cap for certain skills may be increased if the faction or gang purchases a phase in the market.
In events, plots, and the general storyline of OmertàKrp, the use of skill points will influence the outcome of conflicts, alliances, and other actions performed.
A skill tree will be structured as follows: 5 mandatory basic skills + 3 acquired skills of individual choice + 2 extra skills of individual choice.
Your muse may only have up to 10 skills unless more skills are purchased from The Black Market with the item "Additional Skill for a Muse".
For transparency and easy tracking, please have your skill tree listed in your muse's info. The skill trees for factions and gangs will be listed on OmertàKrp's point sheet.
Factions and Gangs:
Factions and gangs will start with 15 skill points.
A faction/gang skill tree will be structured as follows: 5 mandatory basic skills + 5 acquired skills + 5 extra skills.
Faction heads and gang leaders will decide where the skill points are distributed to.
Members:
All muses begin with 0 skill points regardless of position.
Extra skill points must be purchased with crowns in The Black Market.

Training Grounds: Spots and places designated specifically for skill training, mostly used for combat, but also weapon and device testing (firearms, explosives, drones).
Skill Specializations:
Brawler (combat mastery, threat level, kills): This individual excels in unarmed fights and improvised weapon use. They are often unafraid of being on the receiving end of an ambush and won't hesitate to rush into danger, defeating any opponent in hand-to-hand combat.
Striker (combat mastery, medical abilities, information access): The way a striker fights is clean, efficient, and overwhelmingly brutal. With their knowledge of the human body and information on their opponent, their fast, calculated takedowns can defeat an enemy almost as soon as a fight begins.
Trickshot (weapon skills, explosives crafting, long range weapon mastery): The last thing you’ll ever hear is the faint whistle of a bullet or ballistic weapon coming your way. These individuals are able to hit targets from great lengths with terrifying accuracy, relying on the sharpness of their eye and gut instincts.
Agent (weapon skills, chemistry proficiency, close range weapon mastery): When a mission calls for a silent killer, agents will never disappoint. Their mastery of weaponry and knowledge of chemical compounds leave them able to disarm their targets and take them hostage with ease.
Breaker (physical strength, athleticism, manipulation tactics): Very little can hold a breaker back. Their abilities to manipulate their opponents and their athleticism make them masters at escaping any situation or infiltrating when need be. They are able to sabotage the enemy from the inside out.
Intimidator (physical strength, charisma, reputation): Strength isn’t only good for brute force. It can be used as a weapon of the mind. An intimidator does just that, using their size and strength for psychological warfare against an opponent. Very few are brave enough to challenge an intimidator.
Operator (stamina and endurance, stealth, persuasion): Low sleep, no food, high stress… an operator is able to endure pain and harsh environments, making them able to resist faltering while being tortured. They’re great for surveillance operations, like multi-day stakeouts, and able to move unseen.
Marathoner (stamina and endurance, vehicle proficiency, evasion): Able to move at high speeds for extended periods of time, a marathoner is never outmatched while being chased on foot, on bikes, or any other type of vehicle. You may see them, but you’ll never be able to catch them.
Strategist (intelligence, leadership, influence): Every army needs a strategist that can lead them through battle. With their intelligence, influence, and leadership, these individuals are able to discern which paths will bring their troops to success and which ones are better left untouched.
Analyst (intelligence, technological/mechanical proficiency, cyberspace intelligence): It’s one thing to lead, it’s another to understand and intercept the plans of the enemy. An analyst is able to crack encrypted messages, build technology to disrupt the schemes of others, and use these expertise to further the success of their people.
phases
To progress the development of faction and gang specialties, faction heads and gang leaders now can purchase "phases" for the group and its members. Phases are unique to the faction and gang which will give an edge or buff in certain conflicts, all related to the faction/gang's lore.
Phase 1:
Phase 1 consists of training programs related to the focus of the faction or gang, or what is needed for future development.
It is a prerequisite for factions and gangs to have the corresponding skills unlocked and maxed before purchasing the phase.
Every faction, gang, and relating member can receive a buff in a specific skill. This will increase the cap of the skill for the faction (20 to 30), gang (20 to 30), or members (10 to 15).
Members who do not have the skill unlocked will have it unlocked when the phase is purchased and have 2 skill points added. Members with the skill unlocked already will have 5 skill points added. Both are equal to the amount of crowns needed (500) to complete this without the buff.
Skills used for factions and their members appear in the outcome calculator an equal amount of times so there is no true disadvantage between the factions, simply specializations per the faction's focus.
Gangs and gang members are more specialized and appear 2 to 3 times (for the gang) or 2 to 4 times (for the gang members).
The buffs between what the faction members receive and what the gang members receive do not overlap so there is no drastic imbalance for those who do not receive certain buffs. This means if a faction's members will receive a buff in kills, it will not appear in any of that faction's gang's member buffs. No member may have more than 15 points in any given skill.

conflict outcome calculator
To determine the outcome of various conflicts, we have developed a custom-made calculator. The calculator is designed to utilize as many relevant skills as possible. The formula is generally:
((Basic Skill + 1) x (Acquired/Extra Skill + Acquired/Extra Skill + 1)) + ((Basic Skill + 1) x (Acquired/Extra Skill + Acquired/Extra Skill + 1)), etc.
The additional 1 point is so nothing is multiplied by 0 in the event the muse, gang, or faction does not have any points in that skill category. Below are what skills are used for each scenario. Some situations are a comparison between two sets of skills. Some will use counter-skills instead.

Factions are able to include the use of allied help. Only the selected skills from an ally will be added to the equation. A faction will only receive 50% of the ally’s skills. Here is the general equation.

The gang and faction calculator includes the use of individual muse skills. For gangs, the total of a specific muse skill is divided by 5 (total number of muses allowed in a gang) and by 20 for factions (total number of muses allowed in a faction). Sums are rounded to the nearest whole number. We have allocated points to faction/gang skill categories based on multiple muse skills.

quick faq
How many skills should my skill tree contain?
10 total skills: 5 basic skills, 3 acquired skills, and 2 extra skills. Is it possible to customize my entire skill tree?
No. The basic skills will be the same for each member, gang, and faction. Only the other two categories can be customized. You cannot mix acquired skills and extra skills. If I play a muse that has little to no use for the basic skills, can I choose to skip the basic skills and, instead, pick more from the others?
In the case of a muse who has no use for them, they can opt out of the basic skills but their skill tree will be limited to only 5 branches within the two remaining categories (acquired skills and extra skills).
How do I know what acquired and extra skills to pick for my muse?
The skills should always be picked based on what role your character plays in the story. If you opted for a muse whose main role involves fighting, you will want to go for physical combat and weapon skills. Muses who are less inclined to get physical will want a skill tree with intelligence-related branches, like diversion or even reputation. Muses who do either drug work or sex work will want personality-related skills, like charisma or chemistry proficiency. Will I lose my skill points in case of a revamp or character change?
No. The skill points will remain but you will need to purchase a skill point reset in order to reinvest them in different branches.
LORE
A drought hit South Korea in 1952. It lasted 5 years, devastating agriculture and causing the country to increase imports, including water. The imports damaged the economy to the point a civil war threatened to begin. High profile crime lords offered financial support to the government to keep the country at peace. Having no other solution, the government accepted and became a puppet institution for the kingpins. They turned a blind eye while illegal businesses flourished. Two decades and many faction wars later, the country was split into 4 massive districts, each ran by one of the last standing factions: Hyun Mu, Chung Ryong, Ju Jak, and Baek Ho. The city at the center of the country, aptly named "The Sinclave", was (and remains) the only neutral territory. Factions established their headquarters in The Sinclave to work out disputes, although wars still erupted during the following decades. After the economic crisis and water shortage was overcome, the government attempted to take back power in the early 2000s. The attempt was swiftly brought to an end when the people themselves began fighting against the government, siding with the factions. Due to international crime connections, the factions managed to keep their hold over the country a secret for the most part, staying out of the international police's interests through bribes and other power schemes.

After countless violent wars against smaller factions in the 1960s and 1970s, four main factions took over South Korea: Hyun Mu, Chung Ryong, Ju Jak, and Baek Ho. They assimilated manpower and territory from the defeated gangs, claiming and managing them as their own.
The four factions' influence equally infiltrated all parts of the country. Media outlets pushed their propaganda, medical institutions worked under the table, and the government was merely pawns in their schemes. Faction members themselves often weave their way into all industries.

Ch. 1, Sc. 3: Bloodlust, 06.08 to 07.20. Tumblr / MeWe (Plot Drops: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5)
A spot of land has been left untouched for decades. It's disputed territory of Hyun Mu and Chung Ryong where a peace treaty was written to keep the location unused by both. A private company purchased the deed to the land and began the construction of a hotel 3 years ago. The factions didn't protest. It was a silent endorsement and a gift to the people of Ansung. Yet on the night of the 8th, Hyun Mu officials received an anonymous letter that revealed the private company was simply a proxy for Chung Ryong. The treaty was broken. Fleur de Lis Grand Hotel opened it's doors on the 13th. The rest prepared for war.
All four factions attend the opening ceremony. Chung Ryong, of course, Hyun Mu because they could, Ju Jak with a limited presence, and Baek Ho to show that this is not their fight. The faction heads met the morning after to discuss how to move forward. In an effort to soothe tensions, Chung Ryong agreed to send Hyun Mu defectors back to The Tortoise. The van never arrived and was found later emptied out, no drivers or defectors. The Tortoise claimed The Dragon intercepted the van, destroying their attempts at peace. War breaks out on the city's streets.
Violence escalates, and Hyun Mu attempted to bomb the hotel. It leaves little damage, while Chung Ryong's smear campaign against the black tortoises prove to be effective. The Church offers a place of safety to citizens caught in the crossfire. Both Hyun Mu and Chung Ryong seek aid from their allies, Ju Jak offering weapons and VIRUS' abilities, and Baek Ho giving access to their resources and arsenal, yet the white tigers refuse to let their men descend on the battlefield as Chung Ryong begins patrolling the borders to disrupt Hyun Mu's flow of supplies and manpower. A ceasefire was called for, quieting the streets. During this time, The Tiger and The Sparrow agree to peace talks with neutrality as a goal.
Both Hyun Mu and Chung Ryong respect the conditions of the ceasefire. At the urging of their allies, both warring factions agree to meet to negotiate a permanent end to the conflict. The heirs of Baek Ho and Ju Jak arrange a private meeting without The Sparrow's knowledge and successfully come to agreement on the terms of reparation. When The Tiger approaches The Sparrow to express gratitude at the prospect of neutrality between their factions, she claims full credit and promises her support to this cause. The Ju Jak heir goes missing.
All four factions gather at Fleur De Lis Grand Hotel, and witness Chung Ryong and Hyun Mu's terms for a ceasefire and potential neutrality between the former allies and now enemies. After the dragons and the tortoises make their demands, each group steps aside to consider the requests. Baek Ho's heir delegates the reparation tasks to each gang. Ju Jak remains under the watchful eye of The Sparrow, and it's heir returns under strict supervision.
Chung Ryong and Hyun Mu agree on the terms of neutrality. For the first time since the birth of the factions, South Korea's crime syndicates lay out plans to work unified but still with their own splintered interests. A small group of Ju Jak and Baek Ho leadership discover that The Sparrow plotted to massacre The Tiger, his heir, and others who would have attended her planned meeting to create a power vacuum for Chung Ryong and Ju Jak to fill. This knowledge remains a secret from all the heirs, The Tiger, and the Tortoise. Even in this time of potential peace, it would be a foolish choice to trust criminals, especially since the factions continue to take from the Korean people in over a century of tyranny. History remains written in blood, and history always repeats itself.

They heard the whispers, set their sights, and arrived in Lombok, Indonesia to locate rumored lost Uranium. Judging by the familiar faces, it’s clear the sunken ship became common knowledge amongst those clinging to The Sinclave’s criminal underbelly. All the factions arrived to the island on the same day, and each faction wants the valuable goods for themselves, so as a clever ruse, they pretend they’re here for a much-needed retreat from the streets they’ve seen smeared with blood.

An email was sent to every resident in The Sinclave. While some brushed it off as spam, a few in the know saw the encrypted attachment as a challenge. The select few able to get invited to the hacking competition held by VIRUS' former leader would be given the same system with layers of encryption, decoys, traps, and attack one another while cracking through the stages to find the hidden vault. Inside, the winner would receive information on their opponent, the loser’s secret now theirs to exploit.

Each gang leader discovered a black rose within their possessions. A short note requesting a meeting with another gang was tucked into the kraft paper of the bouquet. Upon arrival, the gangs were attacked, each claiming the other made the first move. Each decided if retaliation was worth it. Most chose to strike, entering a gang war. While the fighting faded, other members of each faction began discovering fragments on the dark web suggesting something sinister. With blood in the streets and threats in the air, who would even go to Club Inferno's Halloween party?
At 1:06 AM, costumed silhouettes emerge from a lower level in Club Inferno. They open fire for exactly 1 minute and 40 seconds with automatic assault rifles. Panic ensures while the doors are jammed from the outside. The attack is sudden, violent, and merciless. 40 died in the attack. Over 100 were injured.

Jin Do finally steps out of the shadows, executing a coordinated strike against all four factions and kidnapping their leadership in a single day. They're taken to an abandoned coal processing facility and kept apart in separate cells while a television screen in their rooms plays looped videos of their crimes, along with short clips of the other prisoners trapped with them. Jin Do offers each of them a choice. They have three days to decide whether they'll martyr themselves, or pick another kidnapped person to be sacrificed for them.
In a few days, the factions notice their leadership is missing. Their searches prove unfruitful until one member in the right place at the perfect time discovers a Hypermart van parked outside the factory.

The Sinclave
The Sinclave: The city of Ansung isn’t often referred to by its government name. Most just call it the Sinclave, since it’s an oasis in the middle of an immense amount of tension.

Right click on the image to open it in a new tab. Open in Google Drive here for a higher resolution.
Ansung Memorial Park: In a city ravaged by death, Hyun Mu still found a way to make a profit. With the passing of a loved one, employ the services of one of the finest funeral homes in all of Ansung… just don't pay attention to the scratch marks in the cremation furnace.
Ansung Police Department: This police department is the main branch in the city, with smaller local offices spread out evenly throughout neighborhoods. If you need to report a serious crime, do so with ease at the reception desk.
The Arena: The more pristine may turn their eye away from this establishment, but most love heading over to The Arena to bet on their favorite fighter. Your best bet is on a member of Fire Squad, who so happen to use this as their headquarters as well.
The Arrow: It's an unused intersection a little outside of the city where those who enjoy illegal street racing congregate. The tire marks on the pavement are evidence of how often it’s used.
Artissimo: Every city needs a space for the arts… and human trafficking! If you’re in need of a space to host a lovely charity gala, this art gallery is the perfect location for your needs.
The Bridge: Although there are many bridges in the city of Ansung, there is only one of the bridge. With high-speed trains zooming above, the man-made cave underneath serves as the meeting spot for 1004.
The Brim: Located on the outskirts of the city, The Brim is known as the industrial zone where all of the factories are kept. Residents who live in this area often receive reduced gas and electric bills by the city as a way to offset how much pollution they breathe in on the daily.
The Central Hospital: The largest hospital in the city is just outside of downtown. Because of the staff’s specialties, most severe cases are brought into their care.
The Church: The Temple of the Tortoise is similar to other places of worship where patrons practice their faith and show devotion to their gods. This church also serves as Hyun Mu's headquarters. The Apostles host their meetings in the basement.
Club Inferno: The only neutral establishment of its kind in The Sinclave. Nine floors, all red, with wrap-around balconies that extend into bars and dance floors. The VIP lounge at the top is intimate and private with a one-way glass floor: look down, but never up.
The Dream: Located on the outskirts of the city, this abandoned oil factory is seen mostly as an eyesore… besides for Venom, where they create most of their product.
East Gate Bank: Gate and bank may be in the descriptions, but that is no longer the use of this old building. Once a bank, this historic site has been refurbished to be Chung Ryong's headquarters.
Eden Hill: This is the red light district where all factions are known to have a few brothels. They aren’t the most glamorous establishments, but you get what you pay for.
Euphoria: A smaller bar in a quieter part of town, Euphoria is known for intricate cocktails and the best bar snacks in the city. It’s a great place to host private meetings as well.
The Field: Between the Sinclave and Baek Ho’s territory is an ex-military camp referred to as The Field, due to the wide open spaces. Members of Bone Crushers are often seen training here.
Filth: Don’t judge a pub by its name! Besides Filth, because it’s exactly how it sounds. This grimey, homey spot is a space for some to commiserate over a pint of beer and enjoy a hearty meal.
Fleur de Lis Grand Hotel: The towering pillar of glass rises nine floors and is not a luxury many can afford. Built on land that was meant to be untouched, Chung Ryong broke their treaty with Hyun Mu to create this establishment. It was made as a message. Be careful. Marble stains.
The Golden Ring: Glitz, glamor, opulence: walk out of The Golden Ring Casino a billionaire if luck is on your side. If luck isn’t, don’t test fate with not paying your debts. This is a Baek Ho business, and they won’t let you go free.
Hanyak Street: In need of any traditional herbal medicines? Take a stroll down this timeless street and venture into any shop that seems enticing. You may see some Baek Ho officials from time to time.
Heatwave: This club isn’t like other clubs… it’s different (or, actually, just the same). Heatwave isn’t just for sweating out your worries on the dance floor. You can also find companionship with one of the dancers or hosts in the back room, where the true operations of this brothel take place.
Heavensent: Need a spot for a fancy date or trying to wow some investors? Heavensent is the Sinclave’s finest restaurant specializing in both Western and Korean cuisine. The decadent seasonal menu makes it so it’s a must to visit often.
Hell’s Den: A street lined with bars and smaller gambling houses. If you need to purchase something under the table, you’ll be able to find it here.
Hyperbet: This one-of-a-kind betting house hosts all types of gambling. Tables upon tables of card games, baduk, and slot machines line the inside of this establishment. Go in poor and come out rich… or the other way around.
Hypermart: This national supermarket chain has a home in every neighborhood in Ansung, but the Hypermart near the city center in Junggu? It's arguably the best one. Fresh meat, tasty pastries, and helpful staff watching over you every step of the way.
Night Daze: One of the finest nightclubs in the city, Night Daze is the spot to party. It also serves as ULTRA's headquarters… so it’s best to not be seen trying to skip your tab.
The Official Desk: A quaint office building located next to East Gate Bank, The Official Desk is where the best (and surely not crooked) lawyers serve the people of the Sinclave. It’s where you may find The Suits from time to time as well.
Ophidian Private Practice: Ophidian is a legal medical clinic dedicated to providing healthcare to low-income households, immigrants, single parents, and anyone seeking help. They strive to provide quality healthcare, ensuring the safety and well-being of their clientele.
Paradise Touch: Everyone needs to release tension every now and then. What better way to do so than at a luxury spa center with the best massage therapists? For those in the know, this spa is actually a cover-up for Ju Jak’s most lucrative all-male brothels.
Providence Youth Foundation: For distraught children of The Sinclave, Providence Youth Foundation helps to nurture their souls so they are not cursed with eternal damnation. That, and of course, not funneling them into Hyun Mu's ranks.
Red Dot: Indoor shooting ranges are all the rage these days. Blow off some steam with your friends! If you request the special package, though, you may end up getting your money’s worth.
The Red Moth: Another infamous club in the Sinclave, The Red Moth is known to have primarily male performers, perfect for a girls’ night out. This club is also known to be the headquarters for The Ghosts.
Sansam E&C: Safe, sound, and sturdy (...and no bodies 6 feet under the concrete). This local engineering and construction company gets the job done quickly, efficiently, and with a price that can't beat the competitors. You know what they say… if you can't beat them, bury them!
Silk Street: Aptly named, this street is infamous for selling high quality silk hanboks and other silk-based textiles. All vendors are accustomed to hosting Ju Jak officials. Walk into any, and you may share a cup of tea with one.
Solar System: Claw games, PacMan, Taiko no Tatsujin galore (and even a DISCO PANG PANG on the bottom floor)! Solar System is the Sinclave’s massive arcade. They may also sell drugs.
Studio Y: Tucked into a lovely historic building on Silk Street is none other than the renowned hanbok shop, Studio Y. Find the finest silks, dresses, and accessories. Like Red Dot, request the special package. Instead of a gun, you might find something silver and sharp in your hand.
Sugar and Spice: This small cafe is known for their sweet desserts and cheapest iced Americanos. The street window makes it easy to order on the go.
Sunshine Valley: At least a few times a year, the sun is angled perfectly between the mountains to rise and set right on either side of the valley. It’s where the largest graveyard for residents of the Sinclave is, and also a small trading point between the factions.
Trojan Horse: Although specializing in computers, this repair shop can fix almost any daily electronic device. Just... pay no attention to the VIRUS members working in the back.
The Workshop: At the end of Hanyak Street is a mechanic’s shop commonly referred to as The Workshop. This is where you’ll easily be able to run into a NITRO member.

The Black Tortoises

| Faction Head | The Tortoise |
| Sinclave HQ | The Church |
| District | North |
| Specialty | Human Trafficking, Extortion, Illegal Loans |
| Element | Water |
| Color | Black |
Father Shin Hyunsik, the local pastor of the Church of All Angels started Hyun Mu, or The Black Tortoises, in the second half of the 1960’s, when the poor searched for shelter within the walls of the church and spiritual guidance from the man.
They began funding their community through fundraising (read: blackmail and extortion) from the high-profile figures of the time. The church was rebuilt into the Temple of the Tortoise in 1982 and act as the faction’s headquarters.
Hyun Mu are known to embrace death and celebrate it, which makes them extremely unpredictable in conflict.
All members are strong believers in the Tortoise and the Serpent spirits. They are known for owning multiple orphanages; these orphanages are later used for human trafficking. Hyun Mu supplies the other factions with a young workforce for the longest time and go on periodic raids in search for children to kidnap from across South Korea as well as a portion of their neighboring countries.
More Information coming soon.
Relationships:
Allied with Baek Ho for their weapon arsenal supplies.
Enemies of Chung Ryong after they stole a massive amount of money from them in the 1990s, which they then used to turn against them in territorial disputes.
Neutral towards Ju Jak.
hyun mu gangs
The Apostles
The fighting squad in charge of protecting the faction. They are respected as generals amongst Hyun Mu’s ranks, although their policy is to never strike first. Known to be petty and vengeful, they never tire of chasing down an enemy until they have reached their end goal.
Their fighting style is a rudimentary street-brawl type but their viciousness during combat turns them into terrifying opponents.
Their gathering place is the basement of the church, the same location as Hyun Mu’s headquarters.
Their color scheme is dark blue and black, giving off the feeling of a bruise.
More Information coming soon.
1004
The youngest members of the faction are in 1004. When a 1004 turns 25, they are dismissed and sent to join another Hyun Mu gang or work under the faction. Known for black motorcycles, wreaking havoc, and robbing small businesses, they have caused the most arson incidents in the Sinclave.
They are known to use grenade launchers, exploding drones, and flamethrowers during physical conflicts, but their go-to weapon is the brass knuckle. Upon joining, members are asked to pick a design for custom brass knuckles. It's considered a trophy to mark their opponents with their tag.
They gather beneath the Sinclave’s main bridge.
Their color scheme is black and Sacramento green, symbolizing the Tortoise and the Serpent.
More Information coming soon.
Kilin
This is Hyun Mu’s spy gang. Their members are known to infiltrate the other factions, as well as the government and the police force, gathering information and sending it over to Hyun Mu’s leader. They are believed to have the blessing of the Kilin, similar to how their members operate in complete secrecy.
They avoid physical confrontation, using their skills to vacate the conflict’s premises when caught in crossfire.
They don’t have a specific gathering place, and instead, they meet up in temporary locations, always on the run.
They don’t have a color scheme, and instead, they are represented by black; both because of their loyalty to the faction and the idea of working in the shadows.
More Information coming soon.

hyun mu roles
Faction Head: They make significant decisions for those who reside under their care. A faction head holds the lives of all in the palm of their hands. If they reign with tyranny or a soft touch purely depends on their will.
The Consigliere: Every faction needs a level-headed, wise, and strategic advisor. This person often helps the heads in their decision-making process, although their advice is not mandatory to be followed. The consigliere character prefers to stay in the shadows, away from the spotlight, in order to observe the world around them. They are often considered the right hand of the head.
Gang Leaders: In terms of their role with the faction, they work directly under the head and are essentially the general of their domain. They take orders from the head to complete certain tasks only they and their gang are able to.
The Hitman: There are always pesky little rats that need to be exterminated, and who better to do so swiftly and with ease than the hitman (or woman)? They’re on-call for high-ranking officials and always ready for new missions.
The Media Specialist: Very influential online presence who disguises their Hyun Mu agendas under the pretense of motivational speech. They stay connected to all social media platforms, collaborate with other influencers, and spread the Hyun Mu beliefs through other online personalities as well.
The Government Official: They are deeply rooted in government businesses and schemes, working directly with the leaders of the country. Their affiliation with Hyun Mu is no secret, but it stays discreet and the faction is not portrayed as a forefront of their motives.

Current Faction Head, also known as The Dragon or Han Jaewon: Shiv's father.
Face Claim: Jang Hyuk. Born December 27, 1975.
the third dragon, han jaewon, came into the world during a particularly frigid winter. he's han taeyoon's second son, born to his second wife, and ten years younger than his older brother. most of his history's skewed in his favor. in his late 20s, jaewon ran an active campaign to rewrite his past, painting himself in a positive light. to the general public, the third dragon was a strong, intelligent, and charismatic child, destined to take the mantle from his weaker, older, and less suitable brother. jaewon won over the faction in his youth, and chung ryong's leadership encouraged him to compete for the heir position and unanimously supported his cause. in the end, his older brother, kyunghee, recognized and respected this, and left for america and abandoned his birthright.
that wasn't what happened at all.
han taeyoon, in one of his sick games, pitted both his sons against each other to see which would come out stronger, culling the weaker brother in what he considered the laws of chung ryong's bloodline. he only needed one heir.
at seventeen, jaewon survived dozens attempts on his life. it was only thanks to his clever mother that he survived every one of them. cha junghee wasn't a woman born to high society. she was a simple scholar, an assistant in the pohang city library that caught the eye of taeyoon due to her beauty and stubborn refusal to acknowledge him. forced into marriage, her son that was born a year later was her only joy, her reason for living while she was trapped in the home taeyoon refused to allow her to leave. together, they read books about war and great men. "you too will be like them." she promised, kissing the side of jaewon's head. "my little dragon. i see your teeth."
during kyunghee's 19th attempt on his life, jaewon's mother died for him. she smiled while she did it, covering him with her body while the knife descended, buying enough time for the guards to arrive. it struck her heart. it was fitting because she was protecting her son, who she loved with the entirety of it. after her funeral, jaewon always wore black. the next time he wore color again was a vivid blue suit on his twenty third birthday, when he dragged his older brother's beaten body in front of their father, unloaded a gun to the back of kyunghee's head, and demanded the position of heir.
taeyoon named him the next dragon on the spot.
his time as heir's largely untarnished, aside from whispers of a particularly close relationship with the baek ho successor that started in their youth, until a falling out in their mid-20s where they then remained distant and cautiously neutral. the second dragon, han taeyoon dies in a car crash when jaewon's in his 30s and he's crowned the third dragon at his father's funeral, with his young son, his new wife and her daughter at his side. his reign ushers chung ryong into an era of prosperity. jaewon focused heavily on their weapons and drug trade, shifting away from taeyoon's previous focus on the human trafficking aspect of chung ryong. it was impossible to completely neglect the lucrative sex industy their faction was known for, and he spearheaded new brothels on dragon territory that attracted international clientele. in the end, taeyoon raised his son to rule ruthlessly, efficiently, teaching him to place his faction and his own greed first over his family. this is how jaewon protects himself, the dragons, and his own son. it's all he knows and all he's been taught, a victim of his own circumstances as much as siwon is, a cycle the hans have been unable to break for four generations.
chung ryong roles
The Triage Manager: Handles sex workers, assigning them values based on the consumer market. They keep in touch with the brothel owners and managers, study the demand, and have international deals with human trafficking rings from other countries. They are the one who decide where each individual is best fit to work, from night clubs to pleasure houses.
The Drug Production Specialist: Possesses extended knowledge on chemical compounds and effects on the human body. They are the recipe-maker of the faction. They coordinate the production lines and compile lists of supplies. They study the market, making decisions that involve the boosting of certain lines and the discontinuation of others.

Artissimo: Every city needs a space for the arts… and human trafficking! If you’re in need of a space to host a lovely charity gala, this art gallery is the perfect location for your needs.
Heatwave: This club isn’t like other clubs… it’s different (or, actually, just the same). Heatwave isn’t just for sweating out your worries on the dance floor. You can also find companionship with one of the dancers or hosts in the back room, where the true operations of this brothel take place.
Solar System: Claw games, PacMan, Taiko no Tatsujin galore (and even a DISCO PANG PANG on the bottom floor)! Solar System is the Sinclave’s massive arcade. They may also sell drugs.

Former Faction Head, also known as The First Sparrow or Eom Soonhui: Mirror's great-grandmother.
The Sparrow from 1952 to 1986 (34 years). Born January 29, 1926 (84 years old). Passed of natural causes 2010.
early life: eom soonhui was born in aewol, jeju-do on january 29, 1926 to a long line of well-established haenyeo. haenyeo, or women of the sea, operate within matriarchal structures: they are the primary providers of their families and head households. soonhui was never fed that women had to be subservient to men, and this reflected in how she navigated the world. at the age of 21, in 1947, her family moved to the southwest coast of jeollado before protests in jeju became incredibly violent, escaping the massacre. she began working at a textile factory a few weeks after her family settled on the mainland.
jujak: soonhui established jujak in 1952 along with two other women. they began a movement to supply fresh drinking water to other families in the area and expanded to the entire country by 1954. the sparrows had built a robust distribution system through the black market to get water all over korea. there were several raids that forced the sparrows to protect themselves and developed the weaponry to do so. once the drought had ended, their primary product switched from water to knives, guns, and ammunition. soonhui spearheaded the absorption of smaller rebel organizations in the area (bands of protesting university students, gangs, etc.) and defeated smaller factions, becoming the largest in the region. by the 1980s, jeollado was seen as a safe haven by residents. they had used their influence and money to make demands from the korean government to improve the quality of life in the southwest: infrastructure, restoring historical landmarks, better housing, subsidized education, hospital and childcare funding, aid for the elderly and single mothers, the list seemed endless. soonhui made sure that jujak reinvested the blood money earned back into their people. they took in the sick, hungry, and poor without question. in 1984, baekho and jujak were set to reestablish trade agreements between the factions; this meeting quickly turned violent and baekho's men raided and attacked all over jujak territory. soonhui and her daughter, misook, were directly involved in this event. those around the sparrow said she became more cutthroat afterward and jujak policies were stricter than ever before. jujak began to increase their defenses and develop specialized spy sectors so events like this one would not happen again. jujak headquarters were settled on silk street of ansung, more colloquially known as the sinclave. for women in the area, it became a space to seek help and community.
legacy: soonhui was known to be a fierce leader who valued her personal independence while still building a community that relied on one another. she brought what she knew of the haenyeo way of life into the mainland and established jujak according to those values. she led with a strong sense of justice and did not waver in her thoughts nor judgments, oftentimes criticized for being too strict and stubborn, and especially manipulative to those who were attempting to deceive her. no matter her relationship to another party, if someone were found to be abusing jujak's systems or taking advantage of others under her care, she'd strike them down the same as she would with an enemy. she never would unexpectedly betray an ally for her own gain, and instead, was oftentimes more truthful than she should have been.
notable achievements:
ㅤ⠂ㅤ began jujak in 1952
ㅤ⠂ㅤ brought clean drinking water to korea in 1954
ㅤ⠂ㅤ began funding jujak's weapon manufactoring
ㅤ⠂ㅤ established jujak's presence in the government and media
ㅤ⠂ㅤ increased jujak's defense capability, resistance, and resilience
ㅤ⠂ㅤ worked toward positive working relationships with all other factions
ㅤ⠂ㅤ solidified jujak's positive reputation and general influence
ㅤ⠂ㅤ resigned as the sparrow in 1986
personal life: she was always seen in old military clothing, although never having spent any time in the ranks herself. it was typical to receive secondhand military garb during wartimes, and it became her staple. she didn't care to be feminine — no make up, no dresses, and absolutely no heels. she carried a combat knife and didn't enjoy how impersonal guns were, although understood the significance of them, thus developing jujak's arsenal and investing in weapon development. soonhui gave birth to her daughter misook in 1950 before jujak began. she never made mention of her daughter's father, who was out of the picture before soonhui found out she was even pregnant. soonhui had no known romantic partners afterward, although was often seen with a "very close female friend." after the attack by baekho in 1984, soonhui was said to be more cutthroat with outsiders and incredibly protective over her daughter. a year later, she was injured by a gunshot wound to her upper thigh at the age of 59 and barely made it out of surgery. it left her physically disabled and she had to pass the responsibility of being the sparrow to her daughter in 1986. after the sudden and tragic passing of her daughter and one granddaughter in 2000, it was obvious soonhui's heart broke. her health declined slowly until she died of natural causes in 2010 at the age of 84.
views: socialist, anti-soviet and anti-america. her personal views did not align with typical korean society and she felt the need to change it through jujak.
recognition: the older generation still talk of her as if she was a savior, as the quality of life in the region increased dramatically through soonhui's efforts.
skills: weapon skills, stamina and endurance, intelligence, leadership, charisma, close range weapon mastery, influence, reputation
Former Faction Head, also known as The Second Sparrow or Eom Misook: Mirror's grandmother.
The Sparrow from 1986 to 2000 (14 years). Born July 12, 1950. Passed unexpectedly in 2000 (50 years old).
early life: eom misook was born on july 12, 1950 to eom soonhui before jujak was established. while young, she spent a lot of time with her grandmother while soonhui worked in the factory and later began establishing jujak. the faction never felt like a criminal organization to misook, as everyone involved seemed steadfast on building community and doing what was right, somewhat developing a make-shift government in the area. at the age of 6, she began to follow her mother, soonhui, everywhere and all of those within the faction knew misook as the shy little sparrow often holding onto her mother's hand or clothing.
jujak: misook was directly involved in all of jujak's meetings, agreements, and decisions from a young age, although her voice was not heard until much later in her life. she grew up within the faction and learned first-hand how much work it took to make it all function as intended. with how strong of a personality her mother was, misook often only did as she was told and did not stray away from the lines she was given to follow. misook had a lot of pride in the organization and saw how cared for the residents of jeollado were under her mother's rule. misook wished to continue this and believed that togetherness made a stronger society. eventually, she wanted to change the entire country and believed that if everyone could work in unity for a greater cause, then the quality of life for every korean would drastically increase. she was involved in the attack from baekho in 1984 along with her mother. it was said that her personality changed slightly after that incident. although still tenderhearted and wanted what was best for those around her, she was a lot more cautious and less willing to trust. once misook took on the role of faction head at the age of 36 in 1986, she rapidly increased funding to jujak's spy sector and ordered everyone to begin training with the weapons they sold, growing jujak's overall combat abilities. deals and trades with other factions were a lot more difficult, as misook was less willing to trust the word of other leaders. during the aids endemic in korea, misook took in members of the lgbtq+ community and sought treatment for those struck with the disease. in the mid-1990s, when the internet began to spread, misook pushed to develop jujak's spy sectors into digital information trading and hacking as well. the 90s was when jujak began to dive into the sex work industry and used thier all-male brothels as a space for information trading.
legacy: misook was known to be kind, gentle, but always pushing forward and looking for new ways to expand jujak's reach. she continued leading with her mother's philosophy and wanted to keep the momentum that soonhui had built, increasing jujak's presence within the government to continue to push policies that helped jeollado residents, no matter their beliefs. she was progressive in almost every aspect, besides opening up to the other main factions, and even became a known figure within the korean lgbtq+ community during the aids endemic. while the korean government were criminalizing those spreading the deadly disease, misook gave shelter and resources to slow the progression of symptoms. with those who betrayed the faction, she continued to follow in her mother's footsteps, although would not do the punishments herself. misook was never known to enjoy any type of violence.
notable achievements:
ㅤ⠂ㅤ became the sparrow in 1986
ㅤ⠂ㅤ increased jujak's combat proficiency
ㅤ⠂ㅤ developed jujak's tech and hacking sectors
ㅤ⠂ㅤ used ports and trade routes in negotiations
ㅤ⠂ㅤ established safe spaces for lgbtq+ individuals
ㅤ⠂ㅤ became stronger allies with chungryong
ㅤ⠂ㅤ kept peace with hyunmu
ㅤ⠂ㅤ unexpectedly passed away in 2000
personal life: she was known as her mother's shadow for a great portion of her life, rarely speaking and being a spitting image of soonhui, although her personality differed greatly. instead of knives, misook preferred guns and would often be seen at shooting ranges. albeit timid in nature, misook had a lot of control over her mind, body, and actions, which showed itself especially with her handling of firearms. misook fell in love with another sparrow she met at the shooting range and had two daughters with him. a year after getting married, jinhwa was born in 1973 and jinae came five years later in 1978. misook passed down her surname instead of their father's to continue her mother's legacy. misook was always very aware of her mother's close female "friend" growing up and knew their relationship was far from platonic, although never spoke of it directly in respect of her mother's privacy. this was a core reason why misook worked hard to become an ally to the lgbtq+ community in hopes of future generations not needing to conceal their love within the country. at the age of 50, in 2000, misook suddenly and tragically passed away in a car accident along with her oldest daughter jinhwa. they were on their way to visit a smaller village in the mountains and fell several meters off the edge of a clif. no autopsy was completed to determine the true cause of death.
views: socialist and incredibly progressive. her views mimicked her mother's in many ways, not aligning with typical, conservative korean society.
recognition: seen as a positive figure for older lgbtq+ individuals, and the tech boom in the region is often attributed to misook's doing.
skills: weapon skills, intelligence, technological/mechanical proficiency, medical abilities, long range weapon mastery, information access, cyberspace intelligence, persuasion
Current Faction Head, also known as The Sparrow or Eom Jinae: Mirror's mother.
Face Claim: Han Yeseul. The Sparrow since 2000. Born November 10, 1978. Still alive.
early life: jinae is the second daughter of misook and was never meant to be the sparrow. from a young age, other leadership figures within the faction told her she would either take up a role concerning strategy or go a more political route, lobbying for jujak-backed policies from within the government itself. jinae didn't want to do something small nor where she had to listen to others. she wanted everything. while young and still under the wings of her mother and other advisors, jinae learned everything she could about the faction, even aspects of it that weren't meant to be shared. she hated that she was automatically brushed off and never thought of for the position of faction head; she hated it even more that her mother and older sister were as kind as they were.
jujak: once jinae took over jujak in 2000, the faction began rapidly developing their blackmail, extortion, and hacking sectors. they were always known as hard negotiators, but with jinae as the head and her charisma, leadership, manipulation tactics, and persuasion, jujak would often only ever come out of meetings with more than they had originally asked for. jinae used the hackers to obtain confidential information to use as blackmail against other leaders, which made it easy to increase their profit margins. while her predecessors were heavily focused on increasing the quality of life for those within the faction's territory, jinae craved expansion. she knew the other women in her family wanted the entirety of korea to be treated well and under jujak rule, but jinae saw the amount of power becoming the de facto president would give to her. all of the trades, policies, and agreements made from that moment on were with that goal in mind: absorbing the other three factions, and eventually, the entire country. even her personal relationships and decisions were made to push her agenda, including the conception and birth of her daughter. very few within the faction know of this overarching goal of hers; it is limited to two others who are always by jinae's side (your muse would not know anything about jinae's goals). jinae appears to always be preparing for situations that are not yet happening: increasing weapon and ammunition production, developing new technology and hacking software, and growing a small army of trained fighters. jinae is the reason why jujak's spies are not regarded at all, as they don't know they exist. the most skilled spies are not even known by the rest of the faction, as they are on special missions across the region to eventually overthrow the other factions and eventually the government.
legacy: jinae is known to be a pristine, impenetrable woman who already knows exactly what another will say before they say it. in board rooms and meetings, she's seen as someone willing to negotiate, although she already has what she wants in mind and will navigate the conversation in a way to make the other person say what she wants so it seems like it's their idea, not hers. for those that work more closely with the sparrow, they know she is cutthroat and likes everything neat and tidy. jinae is not afraid of violence and will not hesitate to put a bullet in someone's head if they misstepped in anyway: a wrong word, a wrong decision, a number out of line. there are no second chances with her, making many afraid of her. in public, she's must softer and warmer to keep up jujak's positive reputation with the public. for those who do not know her closely, jinae is seen as just as kind, receptive, and warm as her grandmother, mother, and older sister.
notable achievements:
ㅤ⠂ㅤ became the sparrow in 2000
ㅤ⠂ㅤ credited to being a main reason the coup of the 2000s was unsuccessful
ㅤ⠂ㅤ stabilized the alliance between chungryong and jujak
ㅤ⠂ㅤ increased jujak's digital spyware
ㅤ⠂ㅤ began establishing positive relationships with neighboring countries
ㅤ⠂ㅤ making secret deals with other faction officials to further her own goals (unknown)
ㅤ⠂ㅤ failed attempt at assassinating baekho officials (mostly unknown)
ㅤ⠂ㅤ infiltrating the government to destabilize it from the inside (unknown)
personal life: jinae was often overshadowed by her older sister, jinhwa, and grew up with a disdain for the other; she wanted attention and affection too, but was often denied it. jinhwa was said to be a lot like their grandmother, soonhui: brave, steadfast, forward, although had the same incredibly kind, sometimes timid, heart of their mother. jinae thought jinhwa would make a weak leader. starting in the mid-90s, jinae began devising a plan that would put her in the seat of the sparrow instead of her older sister. it was meant to be a series of trade agreements gone wrong, messed up books, and overall sloppy leadership. jinae would fly in and solve the issues with ease, and from there, she assumed it would be a no-brainer of who the rightful heir was. one of the orchestrated incidents involved a small group of older women who were to feed misook and jinhwa laced traditional snacks and tea before their journey to a meeting in a remote village. instead of causing them to be late and unprofessional, they swerved from the road and off a cliff, causing both to crash below. jinhwa stopped all attempts of autopsies to protect herself and others involved, and now lives with the guilt of killing both her mother and sister. once she became faction head at the age of 22 in 2000, jujak became more rigid than ever before: structured, precise, machine-like. for bargaining and negotiation reasons, she became pregnant with her daughter naon in 2002 and has no thought of her ever becoming the fourth sparrow.
views: totalitarianist, no respect for the current government.
recognition: in public, she is seen as a true descendant of her grandmother: warm, friendly, lovely. within the faction, jinae is known to be frigid.
skills: weapon skills, intelligence, charisma, threat level, stealth, influence, information access, manipulation tactics, persuasion, kills

Baek Ho, or The White Tigers, is the other oldest faction in the country, mirroring the roots of Chung Ryong.
Especially violent and blood-thirsty, they crushed the smaller gangs and factions in the west of the country, claiming territory as their own.
They are the only faction that does not follow a bloodline-based heirloom, and instead, combat prowess decides their next leader.
Although roots in all domains, Baek Ho’s specialty is military training. They own most of the training grounds in the country and a plethora of illegal fighting rings in their territory. The scrapyard, the biggest landfill in South Korea, is also on their ground.
Most sports clubs are affiliated with Baek Ho as they pick the best to join their ranks. Their strong suit is manpower as well as combat machines built in the endless supply of parts found in the scrapyard.
More Information coming soon.
Relationships:
Allied with Hyun Mu, the latter providing them with children to increase their manpower.
Enemies of Ju Jak after a particularly violent raid of their territory in the mid-1980s, where Baek Ho’s men committed unspeakable acts against Ju Jak’s women.
Neutral towards Chung Ryong.

Former Faction Head, also known as The First Tiger or Kim Beomseok.
Born January 15, 1924. Age at death: 46.
Early life: Kim Beomseok, or the Tiger, was born on the 15th of January, 1924, in a village near Sejeong, to a family of horse breeders. His good background helped him get sent to the city for studies, attending a clock-making school. During his stay at the boarding school, Beomseok met a group of fellow students with a penchant for horse race bets, and they would often be at the racecourse after classes. Seeing the need for money and the gambling addiction’s impact on the bettors, the boys began lending their allowances to those in need, with added interest upon return. As they grew up, the studies were abandoned in favor of the loan business. They began recruiting bigger classmates for difficult paybacks, and soon Beomseok, who had always been the one contributing the larger sums, became the leader of the group.
Family life: By graduation, the teen was no longer in touch with his family. Knowing he had lost his father’s support and respect once the man had learned that Beomseok had abandoned school, he made the decision to earn enough money so that his father would understand that he didn’t need studies in order to have a good life. As money kept rolling in and out, doubling and tripling, their small business also expanded. Soon, Beomseok found himself in need of more recruits to handle the affairs, while he himself had taken a liking to finance studies, wanting to understand how to manage his own income. The matter of how legal the business was had not been a problem until a police raid discovered it and sentenced Beomseok to serve jail time unless bail was paid.
His father, upon learning about his imprisonment, sold the horses and the farmhouse, relocating his entire family to a small apartment in Sejeong. Unable to cope with the guilt, Beomseok swore to buy back the farm and the horses, returning to a life of crime shortly after his release.
The foundation of Baekho: Known for his vicious, sharp mind, Beomseok became known as the Tiger amongst criminals. After reuniting his old group, they resumed business activity, but the deals were no longer honest. The boys, grown men by now, imposed protection taxes on local businesses, planning hits and destruction of property against those unwilling to cooperate. A stroke of luck made it that the newly appointed local police chief used to be one of the men who had worked with the group before, for a brief time. Corruption led the man to once more get involved for personal profit, being appointed as right hand by Beomseok and allowing him to handle the legal aspects in exchange for a hefty cut of the profit.
Soon, the gang became known as Baekho, in Beomseok’s honor as the founder. Having the police department in their back pocket, the gang could extend their operations to neighboring cities, where fresh businesses were just starting and the competition was easy to dispose of.
The drought: The drought made Beomseok hold back on his plans to buy back the farm. In fear of losing it again due to the water shortage, he postponed the investment in favor of pouring their finances into bigger loans for the struggling businesses they were overseeing for protection. While the times were financially difficult, Beomseok’s planning managed to keep the gang afloat until the end of the drought in 1952. When the time for payback arrived, Baekho was able to claim five times the investment, alongside small businesses that could no longer recover from debt. The gang expanded and relocated to Ansung, growing to faction status.
The expansion and the Bone Crushers: While Baekho flourished, war had claimed the life of Beomseok’s father. Unable to forgive himself for having let his family down, he swore against forming a new one. The man dedicated the rest of his life to Baekho in solitude. The farm was returned to his mother, but the feeling remained bittersweet. In order to honor his father, Beomseok bought from the government a section of unused military ground, turning it into training grounds for Baekho’s brawn. It became known simply as “the Field,” and the men training on it were called the Bone Crushers due to their brutal spars.
Chungryong: The city of Ansung not only hosted the young Baekho but also the Busan Dragons, Chungryong. Forced to co-exist, the two factions chose a diplomatic route, preferring to trade and respect each other’s turfs instead of battling for territory. Conveniently, Chungryong’s men had the potential Beomseok looked for in the soldiers meant to guard his business. The endless haggles ended with Baekho managing to buy over 2,000 men from Chungryong’s lines over the course of the years. The balance established between the two not only secured mutual respect, but the factions also thrived and managed to expand outside of Ansung, which became known as the Sinclave after the factions’ establishment.
Death: The Tiger’s passing was sudden. He was found dead in his home in July 1970, after suffering a ruptured brain aneurysm. It marked the end of his Baekho leadership after serving the faction for 24 years. Since Beomseok never married nor fathered any children, his name and legacy could only be carried on by Baekho itself, which split into smaller gangs after his passing.
Notable achievements:
• Founded Baekho in Sejeong
• Expanded the loan business across multiple cities, amassing a total of 38 smaller businesses under the faction’s name
• Established a trading connection with Chungryong, avoiding a possible war for territory in the Sinclave
• Bought the Field and founded the Bone Crushers
• Invested in the military training of Baekho’s brawn
• Reinforced the protection squads for the Baekho businesses
• Recruited and disciplined Chungryong’s most vicious criminals, managing to earn their loyalty and turning them into Baekho enforcers
• Expanded Baekho’s operational territory outside of the home base and the Sinclave
Personal headcanons:
• Kim Beomseok was the middle child, having an older sister and a younger brother.
• He took great pride in his nickname — the Tiger.
• Beomseok himself was never a fighter, but he made up for his fragile build with the sharpness of his mind. He could discuss his way out of most conflicts without the need for violence.
• Because of his poor constitution, he often suffered from migraines, allergies, and common colds. It was a habit of his to stay mostly indoors in his later years due to multiple health complications.
• His original idea for the gang’s name was The Brotherhood, but his comrades refused it in favor of Baekho, which they found to sound more menacing.
• He was known for his calmness, in contrast with the rest of his faction. Instead of smothering their violence, Beomseok enabled it, understanding the power behind physical confrontations.
• Baekho was built to become everything Beomseok was not — physically strong, brave, confrontational, and assertive. Despite his flaws, the first Tiger turned out to be a respected leader in the end.
Current Faction Head, also known as The Tiger or Lee Juwon: Smokey's adoptive father.
Born May 2, 1976. Age 49. Malinois' biological father.
Early life: Lee Juwon is the youngest of five siblings, born and raised in Seosan to a family of onion farmers and fishermen. His father passed when the children were still young, and the eldest brother took over as head of the family. Without proper parental guidance and with money being scarce, Juwon began joining rudimentary underground fighting rings at the age of fourteen to earn money and help his overwhelmed family. The fieldwork had built him a sturdy physique, and by sixteen, he was locally undefeated in his weight category.
Family tragedy: At fifteen, his mother also passed away in a fishing accident. While pulling up the oyster net, she lost her balance and fell off the boat, tangling herself in the net and drowning. A year of family disputes followed, with Juwon’s oldest brother trying to make ends meet and rejecting the younger’s financial help, claiming to want nothing to do with “crime money.” Despite Juwon’s pleas, his brother refused his help under any circumstances. Their sister, only a year younger than the eldest sibling, demanded that their brother allow Juwon to contribute. The brother’s wife supported the idea as well, resulting in Juwon joining a local boxing class to perfect his skills.
Recruitment into Baekho: The boxing instructor turned out to be a Bone Crushers member. He noticed the boy’s potential and suggested that young Juwon be recruited despite his age. After a trial period, Juwon was offered a stable job in the Sinclave as an arena fighter, which he accepted, earning him a place among the Bone Crushers’ ranks.
Tournaments: By Baekho’s tradition, any fighter who won a tournament was granted a request from the Tiger. Juwon trained hard but didn’t win until the age of nineteen, three years after his recruitment. By then, he had become a key member of the Bone Crushers, with his fight earnings keeping two of his siblings in school.
The end of the tournament was supposed to be something Baekho had always seen: the winner would walk up to the Tiger and speak their request. Barely standing up at the end after almost being defeated by his opponent, Juwon’s request for money was denied. Instead, he was asked to execute his unconscious opponent, demand which sent the crowd in a frenzy of excitement and thirst for blood. Fueled by his infamous cruelty, the Tiger offered Juwon two options: he was either willing to kill, or to die in the ring because of his weak heart. The man made the task as horrifying as possible: without providing any sort of weapon, he had Juwon strangle the man to death as the audience cheered him on. At the end, the Tiger not only offered Juwon the requested amount of crowns, but also the title of heir. Refusing was not an option in his circumstance, so Juwon walked out of the Arena that day with a new position in Baekho.
The Dragon: During his time with the Bone Crushers, Juwon met a boy at the Arena. For almost a year, he didn’t realize that the boy was the Dragon’s son, Han Jaewon. The two became sworn brothers soon after befriending each other, with Jaewon tutoring Juwon in scholarly subjects like finance, politics, and marketing. In return, Juwon taught Jaewon how to box.
As their friendship deepened, they discovered each other’s heir status and developed a shared dream: to unite Baekho and Chungryong under a joint leadership. That dream was ultimately crushed by Jaewon’s father, who disapproved of their bond and forced his son to sever contact entirely.
The Florist: After losing Jaewon, the new Baekho heir went on a short-lived rampage against Chungryong out of sheer spite—a hopeless rebellion against a man stronger than him. During one of his vandalism raids with the Bone Crushers, he met Kwon Eunji, a minor Chungryong information broker. When Juwon intended to vandalize her flower shop, the young woman fought him off with nothing but a broom and a watering can. Amused and puzzled, Juwon spared her shop and moved on—but he would return many times afterward, seeking Eunji’s forgiveness.
The Hit: Forgiveness came in the shape of a son. Juwon became the faction leader at twenty-four—the same year his son, Minjun, was born. Baekho entered a prosperous era thanks to Juwon’s new investments and business plans as the Tiger, but the prosperity was short-lived. Two years later, after rejecting a request from one of Baekho’s smaller gangs, his life spiraled into chaos. A bombing destroyed the flower shop with his wife and child inside. Despite finding and punishing the culprits, Juwon spent the next decade in isolation, running the faction from the shadows.
Smokey: The only gang Juwon kept close contact with during his isolation was the Bone Crushers. They continued organizing the yearly tournaments, with the Tiger only appearing to spectate the finals and grant the winner’s wish.
Most of the older Bone Crushers remained deeply loyal to Juwon, bound by an unbreakable brotherhood. One member, Jeon Namsun, after winning the tournament, asked the Tiger for a larger home where he and his wife—another Bone Crusher—could raise their son happily. Only months later, both were murdered in their home, leaving only their child alive.Rather than sending the boy to one of Hyun Mu’s orphanages, the Bone Crushers raised him themselves to honor their fallen comrades. Under their training, the child was later adopted by the Tiger as his son, chosen as the next Baekho heir.
Notable achievements:
• Transformed the military barracks into shelters for less fortunate Baekho members, funding a meal center with a portion of the faction’s income.
• Invested in agriculture, honoring his family’s roots, and established agricultural research centers specializing in fruits and vegetables.
• Converted the Scrapyard into a recycling center still under development; most Workshop supplies now come from recycled materials.
• Ended Baekho’s practice of looting and pillaging neighboring factions.
• Became the first Tiger to allow children received from Hyun Mu as workforce to choose education over faction life.
• Supported the current heir’s plan to pay Ju Jak reparations for the tragedy inflicted by Baekho.
• Modernized the Arena.
• Offered shelter to Hyun Mu exiles, accepting them as Baekho’s own and strengthening inter-faction alliances.
Personal headcanons:
• Lee Juwon’s love for fishing has never faded. In his later years, once the heir took on more leadership duties, he dedicated more time to the hobby.
• Known to be a terrible cook despite his efforts; he often invites Baekho members for meals he prepares, though the dishes rarely succeed.
• He values education deeply and encourages members to finish school, regardless of rank or position.
• The loss of his son turned him into a recluse for over a decade. Juwon began interacting with Baekho again only after adopting Smokey, though rumors say he was never the same man as before.
• One of his siblings became a famous lawyer in the United States. Juwon keeps in touch but ensures she stays far from the criminal world.
• His nephew, the son of his eldest brother, grew up to become a Chungryong member. His identity and connection to the Tiger remain secret.
• Juwon never took more money from Baekho than he needed to raise Smokey. His only notable asset is the house he built for his wife and son before the tragedy.
• He was reunited with his son after over twenty years; the boy, once believed dead in the explosion, recently found his father again.
• He considers the entire younger generation of Baekho his children. Any who seek shelter in his home are received without hesitation.
• He was rumored to have been romantically involved with the Dragon during his teens, though it was never officially confirmed—only their close friends from the past know the truth.
• An occasional gambler with a deep love for horse racing.
• Owns a parrot named Gandhi that curses at guests, including his two sons.
• Does not trust the current Sparrow or Tortoise but remains professional around them.
• Prefers discussing business and faction matters with Mirror and the Hun Mu heir, despite their lower rank.
• A recovering alcoholic—a vice developed during the mourning of his wife and son.
Skills:
• Combat mastery
• Leadership
• Charisma
• Threat level
• Short-range weapon mastery
• Athleticism
• Reputation
• Persuasion
Former and Original Owner of The Workshop, also known as Crazy Kim or Kim Minhwan: Bandit's mentor.
Vehicle and weapon manufacture for the faction.
Other details: Vietnam war veteran, sudden PTSD episodes, best vehicle manufacturer in the Sinclave
Family: None
Ties: The Workshop, Bandit, NITRO
Kim Minhwan, known as Crazy Kim, was the previous owner of the Workshop. After losing his leg in the Vietnam war, he was sent back home, joining the faction shortly after, to provide his skills in their service. Baekho opened the Workshop for his work in 1975, and the man stayed in their service until his death, in 2019.
He was the Spirit of the Machine’s first believer, having taught Bandit about it, when she became his apprentice in 2017. He was also one of the few men who spoke against the Jujak raid, having been quickly silenced as a result. Since then, he had anonymously donated his part of the Workshop’s profit fully to Jujak, taking the secret to the grave.
Crazy Kim died a peaceful death under the willow tree of his beloved workshop. His illegitimate son grew up to become the best fighter in the faction, currently known as Baekho’s leader. His values have quietly survived through him, through Bandit and the Workshop, solidifying after his death as NITRO, followers of the Spirit. His grave is found under the willow tree, with a metal headstone that stays polished to this day.
Only the Leader and the Heir know that Crazy Kim was the Leader's father. This information has always been kept between the three of them, and although Bandit was the closest person to him, she never found out either.
Former Chung Ryong Drug Runner, also known as The Eagle or Cha Jisung: Nightingale's father.
Status: alive. Age: 68 years old. Former Chung Ryong Drug Runner, now inactive.
Owner of CHAnt, manufacturing company for kpop merch and albums, mostly operative in Europe and with several hubs across the Chung Ryong territory. The company uses the merch business to cover a drug cartel and it’s an exclusive family heirloom. Only members of the Cha family have access to clients' identities, interpol moles, ports, routes, and bank movements.
Married to Cha Naim, daughter of another influential korean family now settled in the south of France, Cha Jisung has one daughter, naturalized United States citizen, and one son meant to inherit the business. Following a tragic event resulting in his son and only male heir’s death a few years ago, CHAnt is now on the verge of bankruptcy and left with no direction. Cha Jisung is old, weak and bedridden due to a severe illness and would rather let the business end with his line than leave it in strangers’ hands. The man doesn't have much left, and time is running out.
The Eagle and CHAnt are the only bridge between Chungryong’s drug production and the European market.
Muse Relationship with the NPC:
Only a few elects in Chung Ryong are aware of the fact that the male heir is indeed alive and that his death has been purposefully fabricated by the Eagle himself. Nightingale is the heir and technically supposed to inherit the Eagle’s code name as well as the company.
Everything Cha Jisung knows, every info and detail, has been passed down to Nightingale.
baek ho roles
The Combat Tactics Specialist: Proficient fighter with extended physical training. They are in charge of programs at The Arena and advise the head of the potential and capabilities of each fighter. They coordinate training plans and study the tactics of fighters outside of Baek Ho.
The Military Advisor: Experienced military expert who provides strategic, tactical, and operational advice to the head in order to command offensive operations with in-faction teams, gangs, and matters of allied joint effort.
affiliated establishments

The Field: Between the Sinclave and Baek Ho’s territory is an ex-military camp referred to as The Field, due to the wide open spaces. Members of Bone Crushers are often seen training here.
Filth: Don’t judge a pub by its name! Besides Filth, because it’s exactly how it sounds. This grimey, homey spot is a space for some to commiserate over a pint of beer and enjoy a hearty meal.
Hyperbet: This one-of-a-kind betting house hosts all types of gambling. Tables upon tables of card games, baduk, and slot machines line the inside of this establishment. Go in poor and come out rich… or the other way around.
Sansam E&C: Safe, sound, and sturdy (...and no bodies 6 feet under the concrete). This local engineering and construction company gets the job done quickly, efficiently, and with a price that can't beat the competitors. You know what they say… if you can't beat them, bury them!
The Workshop: At the end of Hanyak Street is a mechanic’s shop commonly referred to as The Workshop. This is where you’ll easily be able to run into a NITRO member.

Born in the 1980's to contrast the consolidated crime factions and their suffocating hold on the everyday life of the common folk, Jin Do was shaped to secretly co-exist with the organized crime's activities. It is a silent network of civilians turned vigilantes in order to reach, observe, report, and intercept what authorities refused to look at.
A Jindo dog, renowned for its loyalty, represents the operation's dedication to protect South Korea's people from the oppressive reign of the four factions.
When it became clear the government was being poisoned by the factions, Jin Do took matters into its hands and became an unofficial police force operating in the background, relying on information alone as their greatest weapon. What were once a group of mere witnesses turned into a full system operating to actively intervene against the spreading crime and corruption. They did so without ever stepping out of the shadows.
Operations are anchored by a central figure, Zero, followed by unit generals tasked to counter each faction, followed by specialized operators. The Black Unit was built to rival Hyun Mu, The Blue Unit against Chung Ryong, The Red Unit for Ju Jak, and The White Unit for Baek Ho.
On the outer circle of the connection web, regular people from every status affiliated with Jin Do might not be fully aware of what happens in the center, but they sustain the power by continuing their mundane activities, and keeping the information flow steady.
All members go by a number alias as well another alias. Those within the resistance only know each other by their number, but unit members know those within the same unit. Only Zero and the generals know all of the Jin Do members, as they've recruited for the resistance. This is to protect the identities of those involved.

Perceives Chung Ryong as self-serving, greedy, and exploitative.

Perceives Baek Ho as violent, merciless, and sadistic.
All factions and gangs are immediate threats.

The Red Unit
Comprised of hackers, moles, saboteurs, and spies that operate in all industries. Each member is placed in key points in Ju Jak's territory, with the most skilled operating in The Sinclave, and at least one is in every Ju Jak establishment to relay information back to the unit's general.
The Red Unit orchestrates periodic cyber attacks, information leaks, weapon production sabotage, and infiltration operations. They often use internet cafes, burner phones, untraceable WiFi eggs, and any type of one-time-use device to execute digital and physical hits on Ju Jak.
More Information coming soon.
The Blue Unit
Made of undercover cops that often pose as escorts, drug mules, and entertainment workers that operate in their respective fields. Each member is deeply rooted in South Korea's entertainment industry by either being part of it or having connections. The most skilled perform their duties in The Sinclave.
The Blue Unit informs INTERPOL and other similar organizations across Asia, Europe, and the U.S. of the crime syndicates' actions, providing sensitive information and helping sabotage missions. They also orchestrate police raids on Chung Ryong’s businesses and territory.
More Information coming soon.
The White Unit
Composed of bouncers, trained fighters, former military and police force, and on-field agents, The White Unit utilizes a very straightforward approach. Skilled in combat and adaptability, they directly oppose Baek Ho on their specific territories where violence is more concentrated.
They strategically infiltrate Baek Ho’s territory, with the most skilled in The Sinclave. The unit is an elite militaristic force, trained to sabotage raids, attacks, and operations, and will conduct suicide missions if necessary. They operate out of public training grounds as well as inconspicuous local gyms across the country.

The current Zero uses combat tactics, as most of The Sinclave’s issues have been revolving around physical wars in recent years.

Crowd Control: The White Unit's active high-ranking military official who hunts Fire Squad. They are the only Jin Do member who does not hide their true identity. They manage violent crowds, subdue armed combatants, and control situations using their military assets.
affiliated establishments
Hypermart: This national supermarket chain has a home in every neighborhood in Ansung, but the Hypermart near the city center in Junggu? It's arguably the best one. Fresh meat, tasty pastries, and helpful staff watching over you every step of the way.
Club Inferno: The only neutral establishment of its kind in The Sinclave. Nine floors, all red, with wrap-around balconies that extend into bars and dance floors. The VIP lounge at the top is intimate and private with a one-way glass floor: look down, but never up.

Due to international crime connections, the factions managed to keep their hold over the country a secret for the most part, staying out of the international police's interests through bribes and other power schemes.
faction and gang roles
Note: faction-affiliated roles are not capped. The faction and gang structure roles are. The number of positions taken is listed on the census page of this Carrd.
Free-form Roles: If none of the roles listed interest you, you are more than welcome to come up with something unique that aligns with what you have envisioned for your muse. Given the nature of this directory, all roles must be relevant to the lifestyle of the factions. Regular citizens are unplayable characters.
Faction Structure
Hyun Mu Only
The Media Specialist: Very influential online presence who disguises their Hyun Mu agendas under the pretense of motivational speech.
Chung Ryong Only
The Triage Manager: Handles sex workers, assigning them values based on the consumer market.
Ju Jak Only
The Diplomat: Handles all inter-faction negotiations and provides the head and the consigliere with the best approaches in tackling delicate topics, such as deals, trades, offers, pacts, or information exchanges.
The Weapons Dealer: Possesses the most knowledge on the current selling market, delivers information about offer and request percentages, and supervises trades. The final prices are not set by the weapons dealer, but they will offer feasible price ranges to the head to take into consideration before setting a price.
Baek Ho Only
The Combat Tactics Specialist: Proficient fighter with extended physical training.
Gang Structure
Leader: In terms of their role in the gang, they direct the operations of their businesses. Although certain tasks are given by the heads, leaders also dish out their own orders for their fellow gang members.
Right Hand: Similar to the head’s consigliere, the gang leader’s right hand is an important position. They work with the leader to go on certain missions and relay information to others in the gang.
Members: A member of a gang takes orders from those above them and is sworn to uphold the beliefs their gang abides by.
Faction-Affiliated
The Accountant: Money is an important concept in a crime world. It makes the world spin, buys life or death, happiness or sorrows. Someone to keep track of it is highly needed for factions, especially when it comes to debts and laundering.
The Forger: Fake documentation is highly needed in criminal activity. From fake IDs, driver’s licenses and passports to forging signatures or official letters, forgers are known to do it all for the right price, or under specific faction influence.
The Drug Producer: Narcotics, stimulants, hallucinogens… It's a lucrative market and the drug producer heads it all. While some factions and gangs are known for their production more than others, no faction misses the opportunity for the extra cash. The drug producer helps to line the faction’s pockets.
The Escorts: Everything is business, especially including wowing politicians, the rich, and influential domestically and abroad. The high-ranking faction officials can only do so much. The escorts are there to fill in any gaps and keep meetings memorable.
The Information Brokers: Information is power, and power fuels all in the underworld. Information brokers receive intel, verify it, and then sell it to the highest bidder or let it slip to manipulate a situation in their favor.
The Media Influencers: The reign of the factions is not to get out of the borders of South Korea. Media influencers work to not only keep the media in check, but to also push the propaganda of their affiliated faction to the masses. When in times of war or instability, having the people on your side could determine the outcome of everything.
The Joyrides: Drivers should never be underestimated in a city where the streets hide more than dark corners. This character knows all the shortcuts, all the backroads and dead ends, making their skills indispensable for faction heads or high-ranking individuals.
The Cleaners: Undoubtedly, every faction has their fair share of “messes” that need to be taken care of. The cleaners do just that; when a body needs to be hidden, they are the first person called for the task.
The Doctors: Doctors called upon during times of need. Hospitals in a faction territory are all aware of the types of injuries they’ll see from faction members, and it’s the doctors job to keep their people healthy.
The Nurses: Sure, doctors may wear the white coats but nurses run the show. Similar to the role of a doctor, a nurse helps keep the population of the faction healthy and will sometimes even be called into duty at the faction’s or a gang’s headquarters.
The Firearms Specialists: Need a weapon but don’t know what kind will get the job done? Having a consultation with a firearms specialist will soothe all your worries. They possess in-depth knowledge of their arsenal.
The Soldiers: Although factions have dedicated gangs that serve as special units, a faction needs bodies and boots on the ground when in desperate times. Soldiers are trained in combat and always ready to follow the orders from above.
The Detectives: Even if the entire world has succumbed to a life of crime, there are still people out there who don’t align with it. The detective still hopes to bring justice into the country and restore the law, although their own allies turn out to be enemies more often than not. Without real support from the inside, this character decides to play a bold move, becoming an informant for Interpol. Will they succeed to change the fate of the entire nation without being stopped, or worse, corrupted?
The Journalists: While the crime life is no secret to the local population, the outside world has yet to learn about it. The journalist is in charge of publishing articles that keep the factions’ image clear, so as to not draw outsider attention to their inner workings. However, the vast faction and gang knowledge they possess can oftentimes prove useful.
The Bartenders: It seems like a typical job of making drinks, washing glasses, and tending to patrons who enter their bars. Yet the drunk let truth slip more often than not, and other higher ranking positions in the faction can sometimes rely on that hearsay.
The Dancers: In clubs, dancers are those who entertain the crowd who come to relax and unwind. Sometimes they are called in for private performances when faction heads or gang leaders are making deals. Dinner with a show always goes down smoother.
The Drug Runners: Getting their product from the production facilities, drug runners distribute various forms of substances all around the faction and, in some cases, across faction lines or international borders.
Resistance and unit roles
Note: Resistance roles are capped to these specific roles. The number of positions taken is listed on the census page of this Carrd.
Resistance Structure
Zero: The leader of the organization that acts as the overseer of plans, the unit generals, and the connections between Jin Do's members and the factions. There have been 4 Zeros so far, with the 5th currently occupying the position.
They know everything that moves throughout South Korea, and thus puts together the conjoined operational plans and funds needed to continue their mission.
Each Zero has a specialty of their own in terms of operation. Some prefer to work strictly based on intelligence, others adopt a more physically combative approach, while others prefer influence. When a new Zero is appointed, the branches outside of their specialty function independently, but the Zero still has the last word in their decisions.
The current Zero uses combat tactics, as most of The Sinclave’s issues have been revolving around physical wars in recent years.

basics
What does Omertà mean?
Omertà is defined as: a Southern Italian code of silence and code of honor and conduct that places importance on silence in the face of questioning by authorities or outsiders; non-cooperation with authorities, the government, or outsiders, especially during criminal investigations; and willfully ignoring and generally avoiding interference with the illegal activities of others (i.e., not contacting law enforcement or the authorities when one is aware of, witness to, or even the victim of certain crimes) (Wikipedia). What is the setting of the directory?
All events take place in South Korea, unless specified otherwise in an event or plot. The Sinclave, a city deemed as neutral territory located in the heart of the country, is the main setting for most of the action in the directory. Are the cities on the lore page fictional?
South Korea, as a country, remains as is… besides one central city: The Sinclave. In reality, that area of South Korea is filled with small villages and valleys between mountains. We've chosen a name of a town in the area to serve as The Sinclave's Korean name. All other municipalities are true to any official map. Specific facility names do not mimic real locations and have, instead, been made up by the admin team. What is the currency used in the directory?
For both in-character acknowledgement and out-of-character use, the currency in this alternate reality of South Korea is called the “crown” instead of won, since it is the coin earned through activity and spent for purchases.
What is the difference between a faction and a gang?
A faction is a system of organized crime that has vast power and influence. It is formed by either smaller groups with dedicated purposes (gangs) or individuals who operate directly under the faction, without pertaining to a specific gang.If I submit through a Google Form, how will I know my submission is received and someone doesn’t apply for or reserve the face claim or role I want?
OmertàKrp offers a live updates sheet where muns are able to check if their submission went through correctly. If checking our reserved posts on Tumblr, all muns are required to submit information unique to their character. You will be able to tell that the reservation is yours based on the IC information listed on the post. If you have doubts about your application/reservation having not been received, please message us on our Tumblr account. Are members allowed to hint at the existence of other criminal groups outside of the ones mentioned in the roleplay?
Yes, it is allowed as long as it aligns with our lore. Are the members allowed to incorporate other criminal groups in their storylines?
Yes, as long as the members keep them to non-playable characters and don't use them as active plot-changing devices. Please note that the factions listed on the lore page are the ones that have the most power in the country.
pre-acceptance
Why do we need to reserve with muse information? Can’t I reserve only a face claim or only a position and not both right away?
Point blank: we’re excited to have you as much as you’re excited to join! We’d like for you to have a few specific bits of a muse already in place before placing a reservation. This is so other potential muns have an idea of what is desired so no duplicate applications roll in. If you’d like to switch up the IC details of your muse while applying, you are free to do so.The face claim I want to play is almost 21. Can I still use them now?
No, we only accept face claims that are 21 and older. What does application stage mean?
The application stage is the period between submitting your application and when it is approved. What is a competitive app?
A competitive application means that more than one mun may apply for the same position. In the case of OmertàKrp, only the faction head spots are competitive as they are limited and hold a lot of influence in the directory. If we have not yet accepted an application for a faction head position and are still in the process of reviewing it, another applicant may try to stake a claim for the head position. The most suited muse will get the head position in the directory. How long does it usually take to accept an application?
The admin team works to maintain the directory daily and will be prompt in the application process. You should not have to wait more than a few days to know the status of your application! If you would like updates, please message us.
Why do members have to join with a pre-made MeWe account?
You’d like to get in as quick as possible, we’d like to have you as quick as possible! When joining with a pre-made MeWe account, we are able to process and accept your application with minimal restriction. We will double-check all of what we require in terms of your account’s set up so you’re able to smoothly join the directory and get to writing. Why do members have to join with aliases?
They join by aliases for a more realistic approach for the universe the action is set in. Going by the legal name under such circumstances would open many weaknesses.I made my MeWe account without the muse’s alias and used their name instead. What can I do?
Members are required to notify the admin team of this in the application process to avoid an application denial. If we are not informed, your application will be rejected! Once we have been notified, we will allow a period of 30 days of having the incorrect account name, the time required to wait between display name changes by MeWe. Then we ask the mun to change to their muse’s alias instead, as it is a requirement listed in our rules. What are “quick OOC rules” to put in my muse’s profile?
Quick OOC rules refer to a writer’s boundaries and personal guidelines while roleplaying. Do you prefer to write in a specific length? Do you need more time for replies? Do you enjoy unplotted IC drama? What is the mandatory introductory prompt?
The mandatory introduction prompt is divided into two tasks: one meant to be completed from an OOC perspective, and another purely IC. A mun may choose to do one or the other (or both!).Do the admins provide any development tools once I am in the directory?
Yes, the admin team has carefully curated various prompts (both writing-based and creativity-stimulating, like playlists and moodboards) to help our members develop their muses further.
post-acceptance
How will you monitor the OOC chat? Will people get strikes for talking about things other than the directory’s plot and IC matters?
We understand that conversations unrelated to plotting or in-character events are unavoidable in OOC spaces. What we do request of our members is to not continuously perpetuate the habit of unrelated small chat instead of allowing the group to be used for its intended purpose. You will not receive a strike, but may get a reminder if it starts to become a habit. If I forget to submit my muse’s activity for the activity check but still wrote, can I retroactively receive points?
No, receiving points after the activity check period has ended is not possible. This is due to our faction benefit system. Please submit your activity check in time to receive points. When my hiatus ends, do I need to post anything to let you all know I’m alive and ready to roleplay again?
Completing the upcoming activity check is enough to let us know that a member has returned from their hiatus. If a mun does not do the activity check after their hiatus ends, they will be removed from the roleplay. Why do gang leaders have to keep track of the gang groups and the faction leaders do not keep track of the faction groups?
This is due to gangs having a maximum of 5 members, while factions do not have a member cap. While we respect the head’s autonomy, we understand that looking after large numbers is not an easy task, so we have decided against it.
Do the OOC musings group posts count as writing-based posts for activity?
Depending on the task requirement, the OOC musings posts can be counted as activity. Why do we need to keep our following up-to-date?
The following and follower lists must be kept up-to-date in order to have lists of active members who can be approached for writing, instead of keeping departed accounts with the impression that they are still part of the community.I joined under a faction I didn’t want at first because the one I wanted was momentarily capped. How can I switch over? Do I need to reapply?
Members can purchase such changes in the market. Once the change is decided, you may submit your desire via the market form. Reapplications are not needed, unless a character is being completely changed. How will you tell if something was done with AI?
There are various tools and platforms that can determine whether or not a piece of text has been made with AI.I understand that we can’t remove or block people, but can we mute specific muses?
The mute function is allowed on a case-by-case basis and only if it is not done with malicious or exclusionary intent, only for individual peace in case of a conflict between two parties.
rules
What is racebending?
Racebending refers to changing the race or ethnicity of a face claim. If the face claim is ethnically Chinese, you cannot make a muse with that face Korean. It is important to not confuse race, ethnicity, and nationality. Nationality refers to what passport a face claim holds. Someone can be ethnically Thai but hold a Canadian passport. Why are there no age gap rules and how should the members navigate the topic?
The admin team has chosen to remove any age gap rules because the requirement for face claims and muses is 21. With everyone being fully of age in the directory, we trust that our members will engage with each other in a respectful manner, be it for platonic or romantic connections. Why is there a muse cap for muns?
OmertàKrp is an intensely lore-driven directory with many intricate facets that weave together our storyline. It can be a lot to keep up with! While we do not want to stifle any creative drive our members wish to let flow, we also do not want those who enjoy their free time with us to overextend themselves. We give many opportunities for members to explore their character’s internal (and external) development within the roleplay and would love to see how such character arcs play out.I forgot that you ban people who leave the group without telling the admins and I want to join again. Can I rejoin?
Unfortunately, a mun who left under such circumstances is unable to rejoin the directory.I know of someone doing rule-breaking behavior in the roleplay but I do not have the screenshots to prove it. Can something be done?
Such behaviors may still be reported to the admin team, but no action will be taken without the needed proof to back up the claims. What we can do is closely monitor the reported behavior until it’s either disproven or proved true.
How can you tell if someone is bubble roleplaying? I try to reach out but just don’t have that many plots with others. Will I get in trouble?
The characteristics of bubble roleplay are easy to spot. OmertàKrp defines bubble roleplaying as continuously interacting with a small, select group of writers with no desire or intention to interact with or put effort into other muns or muses. This is when a mun will selectively write with their OOC friends, their muse’s IC friends, or ship partners, and keep interactions within that circle. Members who struggle with getting traction for their characters will be seen attempting to engage with the community as a whole, so there will be no punishments for such cases. If you happen to have such issues, please notify the admins in order to receive extra plotting and story building tools.I have a trigger I would like added to the mandatory tag list but I don’t want to say it directly. How can I tell you if anon is off?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to give us this information anonymously. Please message our Tumblr or MeWe account with your trigger. We will add it to the list and not make mention of who sent us the request. The admins will respect your private information; who made the request will not be shared with anyone outside of the admin team.I don’t want my muse to be killed IC if I go inactive and leave the roleplay!
Upon departure, a mun can notify the admin team about their wish to have their character’s continuity saved. If no such detail is mentioned, the admin team reserves the right to use the departure for future lore event highlights.

OmertàKrp will incorporate dead dove content.

All face claims from the Asian entertainment industry are welcome.
OmertàKrp does not accept social media influencers, trainees, those who do not wish to be roleplayed, the deceased, or controversial figures (left up to the discretion of the admins).
Face claim changes will be approved on a case-by-case basis. To change your muse’s face, message the admin account with the name and occupation of the new face for your muse. We will make the needed updates on our end with no further requirements from the mun as long as the ethnicity, age, gender, and name of the muse will stay the same.
If a face claim change will alter the muse significantly, please submit a new application. This includes changes in sex, aging out of roles (ex. 1004 member), and ethnicity. For in-character status changes that alter your muse significantly, please submit a new application.
Smaller changes that will be used as a plot in-character (leaving a gang, changing factions, etc.) must be bought in The Black Market.
reserving
Reserve a new character through the dedicated reservation form, not through Tumblr, AFF, or MeWe.
Existing members may reserve recently freed roles while deciding if they would like for their muse to develop in a certain direction. Reserve a role through the reservation form and select “Current Member” in the first section. If you’ve already decided on the role, purchase it through The Black Market.
OmertàKrp requires basic information about your muse during this process: an in-character alias, chosen affiliation, and position.
Reservations last for 72 hours from the time they are posted on Tumblr. One 24-hour extension may be granted after submitting your reservation. It is possible to request an extension during the initial reservation. Simply select it on the form. Due to our Tumblr being down, reservations are only currently posted on our Carrd. The expiration date is according to when we process the reservation, not when it is sent in.
To know if your submission has been received (reservation, application), please either check our live updates or message one of our official accounts (Tumblr, AFF, MeWe).
applying
Due to the nature of this directory, only muns, muses, and face claims at or above the international age of 21 will be accepted.
Please apply through the application form. While applications are processed on a rolling basis, new muses are introduced into the community once a week on Sundays after 12:00 PM KST. As long as a muse’s application was submitted before the cut-off time and date (Sunday 11:59 AM KST), we will do our best to introduce the muse into the roleplay that week.
The admins reserve the right to reject applications that do not align with the lore, insufficiently describe the muse, or otherwise are unable to offer an insight to the character. OmertàKrp is selective. Some applications may be rejected without additional comments.
Reference the lore page before making a muse. If you are unsure about a certain aspect you'd like to incorporate into your character, please ask before applying! The admins will happily answer any questions you may have.
Submitted prominent, lore-dependent NPC connections are the only ones considered canon in our universe. This includes familial relationships to previous gang leaders, connections to faction heads, etc. A list of approved NPC connections are listed in the lore section for each faction and the resistance. Small NPC connections do not need to be submitted. While writing your muse's biography, please keep this in mind.
Applications that include connections to current muses or another mun’s submitted NPC may take longer to process, as we will reach out to the mun in question to make sure it aligns with their character’s storyline, personality, background, and ideas.
You may alter the birth year of your muse from that of the face claim's by 5 years, as long as it respects our age limit rule.
The name of your muse must differ from the face claim, and your muse will be expected to join and be known in the community with a pre-established, in-character alias (i.e. “Blade” instead of Park Hakyung).
An alias cannot be related to a muse’s name (i.e. “Blade Park” if a muse is Park Hakyung).
An alias cannot be similar to an already existing muse, a faction head, a gang's name, the resistance muse titles, or an established NPC listed on the lore page.
Racebending is not allowed. Names that differ from the face claim's original background will be accepted on a case-by-case basis (creating a Thai-American muse with a western first name and Thai family name is alright; erasing their ethnic background completely is not). The reasoning must be explicit in the biography otherwise the application will be rejected without comments.
Genderbending is not allowed. If you wish to play a trans muse, please use a trans face claim.
Muses in a leadership position will have influence over the lore and other characters.
If applying as an head to a faction or part of the resistance, please note that more information is required and there is an additional section in the application. Faction head and resistance positions are competitive during the application stage (meaning more than one mun may apply for the position until an application is accepted), and if necessary, will be denied. If your application is denied, you must wait 2 weeks to reapply for the position.
You must apply with an active Tumblr or AFF account that is at least 6+ months old. If you do not have a Tumblr or AFF account this old but use other public accounts such as Twitter (X) more frequently, we may be able to make an exception. Please message us. That account must also be 6+ months old.
You will need to submit your muse's MeWe account during the application process. More information about your account's creation is listed in the following section. If your muse’s MeWe account is not named properly, we will ask for the account to be remade.
All muns may begin with 2 muses and have up to 4 total. Any additional muse requires being active on all previous muses for at least 1 activity check. For a third character, you must pass 1 activity check with both your first and second character. For a fourth character, you must pass 1 activity check with your first, second, and third muse.
You may only have up to 2 muses in the same faction or in the resistance at any given time. If you drop a muse and wish to pick up another, you must wait until passing the next activity check with all of your remaining muses. If you inform the admin team of the muse’s departure before the end of the activity period and submit activity for the departing muse, you will be able to bring in a new muse the following Sunday.
account creation
Have your following unhidden ("follower and following lists" switched to the left). We periodically check lists and distribute extra crowns for up-to-date followers and following. If the account’s lists are private, we are unable to give extra crowns.
Allow chat requests from those you don't follow ("chat requests" switched to the right). If there is an issue with a muse’s application, the admin team will attempt to reach out via the account as well as the submitted OOC contact.
Have a scales emoji ( ⚖ , :scales: ) or "Omertà"/"omertà" on your muse's profile. This needs to be completed before being posted in our census group. If not, the muse will not be included in the arrivals post.
Include basic information about your muse (age, faction, gang (if relevant), resistance affiliation, crowns, skill tree distribution, quick OOC rules, etc.). This needs to be completed before being posted in our census group. If not, the muse will not be included in the arrival’s post.
It is required that the muse's biography is linked and easily accessible from their profile. A biography may be shared at a later date (not upon arrival) either through a link in the profile itself or as a link in a featured post. A featured post can be used as a piece of activity for new muses.
The handle of your account will be what your writer tag is in the roleplay.
Your account must be the alias of your muse, not their name (i.e. “Blade” instead of Park Hakyung). Do not use special characters or punctuation for the first name of the account, as it disrupts mentioning in posts. The only exception for special characters within a name is if the word itself requires a diacritic (ex. Façade).
If your muse's alias is a single word, the last/second name of the account cannot be a special character and must, instead, be a period ( . ). Capitalization of the first and last name is up to the discretion of the mun.
MeWe only allows one to change the account name every 30 days. If you have any questions on how to name your account, please message the admins. The following are all acceptable account name examples:
arrival
When your application is accepted, the submitted account will receive a follow request on MeWe from the admin account.
You will receive a welcome message with a task list to complete after accepting the admin’s follow request.
These tasks include:
Join groups (before arrival is posted)
Post a plot call (7 days to complete after arrival post)
Do the introduction prompt (7 days to complete after arrival post)
Send your skill tree (7 days to complete after arrival post)
If the plot call, introduction prompt, and skill tree has not been submitted nor posted during the allotted 7 days, the muse will be deemed inactive and removed from the directory.
If we have received at least one of the above (plot call, introduction prompt, or skill tree) but not the rest, your muse will receive a 72-hour extension to complete the tasks.
If the tasks are not completed after the extension, the muse will be deemed inactive and removed from the directory. If requested, one final 24-hour extension may be granted.
If the tasks are still uncompleted after this time, your muse will be removed from the directory.
activity expectations
Activity checks are held twice a month. The activity period ends on the first and third Sunday and is conducted via a Google Form. Activity must be submitted by 11:59 am KST of the date listed, but can be submitted any time before then.
Completing 3 writing-based posts (word count: 100+) count as meeting activity. This includes a featured post (for new members only, no word count requirement), open starters, thread starters, thread replies, self-paras, writing-based character development, introduction prompts, large update posts in the faction/gang/resistance/unit group (for faction heads, gang leaders, resistance leader, and unit generals only), and other tasks posted by the admin account.
To help curb potential bubble roleplaying, only starters and replies with different muses will be eligible for the minimum requirement. This means, if you are only submitting 3 threads for your activity check, each thread needs to be with a different muse.
Members are free to submit up to 5 posts for points (hereby known as "crowns") if they wish to do so, but the requirement to pass will stay fixed. Extra submitted posts can be with any muse and be replies to the same thread.
Members will be rewarded with double the crowns (20 instead of 10) for threads with a muse they have not interacted with yet. The “new muse” status will last for 2 activity checks. Please mention it in the “notes” section of the activity form submission so we are able to distribute crowns accordingly. The "new muse" status refreshes every 6 months, meaning if you have not written with a muse in at least 6 months, you are free to use this bonus again.
Members can be rewarded with double the crowns (20 instead of 10) for threads that reach 5 replies per muse (you 5, partner 5). All of the replies do not have to be made during the same activity check. This continuing thread bonus cannot be applied to the same thread multiple times during the same activity check.
Members who join within the last 7 days before an activity check will only require 1 post to pass. New members are able to submit their introduction posts and a featured post on their muse’s profile that links to an extensive biography.
All members may ask for an extension if need be. If extensions are frequently recurring (every other activity check or multiple activity checks in a row), it may be denied. Extensions for activity submissions are up to an additional 72-hours. After the extension, if no activity has been submitted, your muse will receive an activity-based strike.
OmertàKrp uses a nonconsecutive 3-strike system for activity checks. If a mun is present in the community but either cannot meet activity or does not submit in time, they will be issued a strike. After receiving 3 strikes, the muse will be removed. The same rule will not apply to fully inactive members and they will be removed automatically instead.
If your muse is removed for inactivity without informing the admins, the muse will be able to be killed by other muses in-universe. Muses of muns who inform us of their departure will not be eligible to be killed off unless consent is given to the admins by the mun themselves.
If a mun deletes the muse’s account or removes their muse from the directory (leaves groups, clears followings) without first notifying the admins, they will be banned from rejoining.
If a mun removes themselves from the writing group when exiting our community, regardless if they've informed the admins or not, they will be banned. The admin team will remove muses from the majority of groups at the end of the activity check period, but from the writing and musings group after 1 additional activity check cycle so other muns may collect their threads.
As a way to keep the power dynamics interesting between factions and the resistance, OmertàKrp uses a point system. Crowns are earned through submitted activity during an activity check.
The group (faction or resistance) that receives the most crowns at the end of the month will earn certain benefits; these benefits are specified in the point system section. The more active your muse is, the more crowns your muse (and their affiliated group) will receive. Only 5 posts per muse can count for points during an activity cycle.
When a muse departs regardless of circumstance, their unused crowns will be added into the faction, resistance, unit, or, if applicable, gang’s bank.
Hiatuses will last for 14 days by default. No activity is required but you may post if desired. If you need more time, please message the admins! You may only request a hiatus after being active for at least 4 consecutive activity cycles after your last hiatus.
After a hiatus ends, you are expected to be active. A hiatus that ends 7 days before the activity check will need 1 piece of activity to be submitted to pass the activity check. If the hiatus ends the day before or on the day of an activity check, please message us of your return. If no activity is submitted or we do not receive a message from you stating your return, your muse will be deemed inactive and will be removed from the roleplay.
OmertàKrp does not offer semi-hiatuses.
Due to the amount of information our site has, we've made a guide for new members that explains certain concepts, processes, and aspects we think would be useful. Find it here.
HIERARCHY
There are 4 factions in the universe of Omertà and 1 resistance group, Jin Do. The heads, resistance leader, and unit generals, after gaining the consent of the admins, may have the power to move specific storylines in a desired direction as well as have general influence over the directory’s plot.
All members – faction and resistance included – must adhere to the lore concepts provided by the storyline, which is why larger plot elements require approval from the admins.
Each faction has several gangs that operate under them. All gangs directly respond to the faction they are affiliated with, and gang leaders work directly under the faction leader. Gang members will take orders from the gang’s leader.
The resistance is composed of the main leader and units, similar to gangs but directly oppose a faction instead. Unit generals will take orders from the resistance leader and unit members take orders from the unit generals.
Depending on the number of members, some groups may become unavailable to apply for until more members have joined the rest.
Gang and unit spots will be limited at first, but as they even out, more spots will become available.
Muses are to show loyalty to the faction and gang they are involved with, except for the characters who canonically have pledged their loyalty elsewhere (spies or resistance muses).
Faction heads are all given a 1 month period of accommodation to establish their abilities and vision for the role. If necessary, after the 1 month period, the muse may be removed from this role and it will reopen for another applicant.
OmertàKrp encourages the muns of heads and gang leaders to develop the concept of the faction or gang further: create Carrds, moodboards, other aesthetics, etc. to expand the microcosm their muse is in charge of. Lore-dependant additions are to be brought to the admins for approval before being made canon.
Hits and kidnappings are a feature of this roleplay. Those who are reported to be evading or otherwise disregard a purchased hit or kidnapping will receive a strike.
Faction heads, the resistance leader, unit generals, and gang leaders are able to demote a muse under them (same faction, unit, or gang) and receive a 75% discount on items related to kidnapping and putting a hit out on another muse in The Black Market.
For the demotion feature to not be abused, we will filter the requests manually and ask for compliance from both the muse in the leadership position as well as the muse facing a potential punishment.
If a muse is volatile and prone to get into arguments, The Black Market offers the possibility to purchase an Immunity Status. The immunity status does not protect against demotions, only hits and kidnappings.
All muses have basic information posted in The Sinclave group. Simply click on the profile of the individual in the chat to see their affiliation along with their role before interacting.
Hits and kidnappings are a feature of this roleplay. Those who are reported to be evading or otherwise disregard a purchased hit or kidnapping will receive a strike.
A mun with a muse in a leadership position will:
Send proof and context of the in-character offense to the admin account.
Refrain from mentioning the potential punishment in-character until it is approved by the admins.
A mun with a muse facing demotion will:
Be made aware by the admins that their muse is in danger.
Be given a choice for their muse to either follow the faction head’s or gang leader’s desire for how the offense is acknowledged or continue with the newly developed plot.
etiquette
OmertàKrp is a literate roleplay. MeWe is not to be used as a social media app. SNS (outside of MeWe's "stories" feature) and "profile updates" are only allowed in the dedicated group, not on your muse’s profile.
Plagiarism of any kind will not be tolerated; this includes the use of ChatGPT/other AI to create work for you. AI generated writing is easily detectable. You will be banned if caught.
Due to OmertàKrp being a lore-dependent directory, the OOC group chat should be used as a space for plotting and storyline development. The admin team asks that muns refrain from oversharing personal matters.
Reach out to the admin account with any concerns; we will treat your issues seriously and with respect. Please treat us the same. “Everyone has the right to freedom.” is the Ꝑɐ$∾ẉɵɍȡ you're looking for; write the phrase exactly as shown (excluding quotes) for it to be accepted!
The admins reserve the right to dynamically change the direction of the lore as they see fit. While the changes will be announced beforehand to members, the possibility of plot twists and surprise events is always present.
OmertàKrp expects our members to be willing to adapt to and accept these changes.
Only items and opportunities bought at The Black Market may be used in-character. This includes kidnapping plots and small-scale events like street fights and parties. Please reference the market while plotting.
Plots containing sexual assault and non-con cannot be written in the public writing group nor mentioned in group chat settings.
OmertàKrp will ban certain topics that are triggers for at least 30% of our community. Please list any necessary triggers during the application stage. If you would like to add a trigger later on, please message us.
Any potentially triggering content must be labeled accordingly.
Always label: abuse, addiction, mental health, eating disorders, death, violence, and self-harm. Ask us to add more to this list!
MeWe:
Emoji your own posts (feed, threads, etc.).
Emoji the posts of others to show support; all comments on musings posts should be treated as OOC. This directory encourages open dialogue about the character's actions and their journey in-universe.
Keep your following/followers lists up-to-date; the admins will check periodically.
Threads: SFW and NSFW threads and self-paras will be shared in the same group. For this reason, members are required to create the initial post with:
A title
Short description
Content warnings
Who is involved and/or mentioned (tag them)
Any other important information: location, past, present, etc.
Feed posts are published to your muse’s profile (not in a specified group) and include:
An initial featured post (muse information/link to a bio; it can be aesthetic as long as it links to an extensive bio)
The musings group is to be used for tasks completed by the mun and give insight on the character. All musings posts are OOC. These types of posts include:
Aesthetic moodboards
Playlists
Other tasks and prompts given by the admins
conflicts
In case of conflicts, misunderstandings, or general observations related to your peers, please try to solve the issue by communicating privately at first, not in an open OOC space. The admin team will assist in solving conflicts that don’t reach a positive conclusion in private if proof is provided to sustain the claims.
We require proof (screenshots) while making reports.
The admin team asks the community to be mindful of each other and try to de-escalate situations as much as possible, without admin involvement.
Members are not allowed to remove or block each other from the following list without having notified the admin team first.
OmertàKrp reserves the right to remove members based on individual situations. If you wish to report someone for these actions, please include as many screenshots as necessary so the admins can accurately assess the situation.
Avoid godmoding, metagaming, bubble roleplaying, and general OOC conflicts. OmertàKrp defines each as the following:
Godmodding: When a writer makes a certain situation canon even though it has not occurred in-game, often involving another writer's muse without their consent (OOC, IC), or an unauthorized attempt to influence the directory's plot as a whole.
Metagaming: When a writer uses information in-character that they’ve obtained through an out-of-character source (in muse biographies, spoken through OOC channels, reading threads/self-paras set in private, event announcements), giving their muse knowledge about another character or situation the muse would otherwise be unaware of.
Bubble roleplaying: Continuously interacting with a small, select group of writers with no desire or intention to interact with or put effort into other muns or muses.
